Snoho JoJo Dahlia is a richly colored ball-form variety introduced by Bill Bonneywell in 1990.
Characteristics:
Form: Ball (BA): This distinctive form is characterized by fully double blooms that are nearly spherical or slightly flattened. The ray florets are typically blunt or rounded at the tips and quilled or rolled for more than half their length, forming a tight, symmetrical, honeycomb-like structure.
Colour: The color is often described as a smoky bronze or rosy bronze. It is a dynamic hue that changes with the season, often appearing as coral pink with orange/bronze undertones when warm, and developing more muted or mauve/lavender tips as the season cools.
Bloom Size: 3 to 4 inches (7.5 cm to 10 cm). ADS classification is Ball (BA), meaning over 3.5".
Height: Medium to Tall, generally growing to a height of 3 to 4.5 feet (90–137 cm).
Performance:
- Productivity: 'Snoho Jojo' is renowned for being an early and prolific bloomer, churning out an abundance of flowers on long, strong stems throughout the entire season.
- Cut Flower Excellence: Its sturdy, long stems and excellent vase life (around 5 days) make it an essential and highly dependable dahlia for commercial growers and home bouquet makers.
- Growing Habit: The plant has an upright and uniform growth habit, with most growers reporting a robust and reliable performance in the field, often reaching a good height despite sometimes producing smaller tubers.
