Snoho Doris Dahlia is an award-winning ball variety celebrated for its rich coral tones and flawless form. It was introduced in 2000.
The 'Snoho' line of dahlias, bred by Bill Bonneywell (US).
Characteristics:
Form: Ball (BA): This dahlia displays a compact, near-perfectly round form. The ray florets are rolled inward for more than half their length and arranged tightly to create a dense, symmetrical, and virtually "weatherproof" bloom.
Colour: Dark Blend (DB). A variable mix of coral, peach, apricot, yellow, and occasionally raspberry/strawberry red tones.
Bloom Size: 4 to 5 inches (10 cm to 12.5 cm), placing it in the Ball (BA) category (over 3.5′′).
Height: Tall, generally growing to a height of 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm).
Performance:
- Highly valued for its unique coloring, compact form, and exceptional ability to blend with almost any color palette, especially in wedding and event work.
- Sturdy and Prolific: The plant is a highly productive cut flower, yielding an abundant and continuous supply of blooms throughout the season on long, very strong stems.
- Excellent Durability: Blooms are often described as being virtually weatherproof, holding up well in the garden and offering a strong 5-day vase life indoors.
- Vigorous Growth: It is a robust grower, consistently reaching a desirable height of 4 to 5 feet.
