Marionberry Milkshake

Marionberry Milkshake was hybridized by Swan Island Dahlias (USA) and introduced in 2021.

Characteristics:

Form: Formal Decorative—fully double blooms with neatly arranged petals in a smooth, symmetrical silhouette.

Color: Light Blend (LB) / Pink or Lavender—A soft, dreamy pastel blend:

• Main Tones: Soft Pink, Lavender-Purple, and Creamy White.
• Effect: It exhibits an ombré or milkshake effect, often starting with darker lavender-purple on the outer petals or tips and fading to a softer, creamy white or pale pink near the center.

Bloom Size: Small (BB)—Blooms are typically sized between 4 and 6 inches (10–15 cm) in diameter, with many sources consistently stating a 4-inch bloom.

• Note: While some sources list the size as 'B' (Medium), the hybridizer's (Swan Island) and many grower listings classify it as BB (Small) and LB (Light Blend).

Height: Tall, growing to a significant height of 4 to 5 feet (120–150 cm).

Performance: A later bloomer, but once established, it produces an abundance of elegant, soft-toned flowers. Long, strong stems make it ideal for cutting.
