Linda’s Baby Dahlia was hybridized by P. K. J. Smits (Netherlands) and introduced in 2004. A favorite among dahlia enthusiasts.

Characteristics:

Form: Ball (BA) — Perfectly formed, fully double, and globe-shaped blooms with tightly packed, involute (incurved) petals arranged in a spiral pattern.

Color: Pink (PK) or Light Blend (LB) — The color is a gorgeous, soft blend, often described as Peachy-Pink, Apricot-Pink, Coral-Pink, or Strawberry/Orange Sherbet. The intensity can shift with the weather, starting brighter and softening as it matures.

Bloom Size: Ball (BA) — Typically 3 to 4 inches (7.5–10 cm) in diameter.

Height: Medium to Tall — Plants generally reach 3 to 4 feet (90–120 cm) in height. Some growers report plants up to 4.5 feet.

Performance: Exceptionally floriferous and reliable. One of the first to bloom, producing a profusion of flowers throughout the summer. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Ideal for cutting, with strong stems and a long vase life. Perfect for borders, bouquets, and even cake decoration.
