L’Ancresse Dahlia was introduced in 1982 by hybridizer Norman Flint. A classic, proven variety.

Characteristics:

Form: Ball (BA): Blooms are fully double, perfectly spherical, and tightly packed with involute (rolled) petals.

Color: The color is a sophisticated, luminous white with subtle undertones:

• Primary Color: Crisp White or Ivory, often described as "vanilla ice cream colored."
• Subtle Blush: Depending on cooler weather or growing conditions, the center of the bloom may occasionally show a slight lavender or pale blush tone, adding depth.
• Aesthetic: Known for its luminous, sparkling quality, which brightens arrangements.

Bloom Size: Ball (BA): Blooms measure over 3.5 inches (approx. 9 cm) in diameter.

Height: Medium to Tall — typically grows 3 to 4 feet (90–120 cm).
