Labyrinth Dahlia is a dinnerplate decorative variety celebrated for its swirling petals and sunset-toned palette.
Characteristics:
Form: Informal Decorative (ID) or Dinnerplate. It is characterized by long, shapely petals that curl, twist, and twirl in different directions, giving the flower a luxurious, intricate, and sometimes chaotic appearance—hence the name 'Labyrinth'.
Color: A mesmerizing blend of peach, raspberry, apricot, and yellow, with petals that twist and curl like brushstrokes. Each bloom is slightly different, creating a painterly, impressionistic effect.
Bloom Size: AA (Dinnerplate/Giant) or A (Large), with impressive blooms generally spanning 8 to 10 inches (20–25 cm) in diameter.
Height: A robust and vigorous plant, typically growing between 3 to 4 feet (90–120 cm) tall.
Performance: A prolific bloomer that produces a staggering number of flowers from mid-summer until the first frost. The intense color of the flowers is beautifully contrasted by the plant's often darker, vigorous foliage. It offers a good vase life and is highly sought after for creating dramatic floral centerpieces.
