Hollyhill Daydream is a captivating and highly floriferous variety, continuing the tradition of quality from Ted and Margaret Kennedy (Hollyhill Dahlias). It is particularly known for its beautifully shifting colour tones.

Characteristics:

Form: Waterlily (WL). This form creates an elegant, poised, and open-faced bloom, distinct from the tighter ball or decorative forms.

Color: Dark Pink (DP) with Orange Tones. The colour is dynamic and shifts with the weather, living up to its "daydream" name:

• The primary colour is a rich, dark pink.
• As the weather cools, especially later in the season, the blooms will often deepen and take on beautiful warm orange or apricot tones, creating a subtle, shifting blend. Some describe the colour as a "deep pinkish orange."

Bloom Size: Medium (M) to Small (BB), generally around 3 to 5 inches (7.5 to 12.5 cm) in diameter.

Height: A tall, vigorous grower, often reaching 4.5 to 6 feet (135–180 cm) tall.

ADS Classification: Surprisingly, despite its popularity, some growers note it is currently unclassified or not officially registered with the ADS, though its accepted form is Waterlily and its colour is Dark Pink.
