Hapet Salmon is a popular and prolific variety, part of the 'Hapet' series hybridized by Peter Haslhofer in Austria.

Characteristics:

Form: Ball (BA) or sometimes listed as Formal Decorative (FD). The ray florets are tightly involute (rolled inward) for most of their length, creating a dense, symmetrical, spherical bloom.

Color: Light Blend (LB) of Salmon, Peach, Pink, and Yellow. The color is its most unique feature: it shifts with the weather and season. It is generally a beautiful, pastel blend:

  • Warmer Weather: More solid peach or salmon-pink.
  • Cooler Weather/Maturity: Petals often fade to a soft blush or creamy yellow at the edges, giving it a multi-toned, "pink lemonade" or "sunset" effect.

Bloom Size: Miniature (M) to Small (BB), typically 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter.

Height: A good mid-height plant, growing to 3 to 4.5 feet (90–135 cm).

Performance:

  • Prolific Bloomer: 'Hapet Salmon' is an extremely vigorous and prolific variety, known for producing an abundance of blooms continuously from mid-summer until the first frost.
  • Cut Flower Value: Ball dahlias are excellent fillers and focal points in bouquets. This variety is prized for its long, strong stems and reliable productivity, making it a favorite for cut flower growers.
  • Tuber Quality: It is often reported to be a good tuber producer and stores well over winter, similar to its presumed relative, 'Cornel'.

Please note that the listing is for one tuber.
