Dear Alexander is a ball-type bloom that glows with tricolor brilliance and velvety depth. This variety is a modern, often European (or continental) variety that is a strong, productive plant.
Color: Buttery Yellow/Peach Blend with Purple/Plum Edges (Bicolor/Variegated). The bloom starts out with a dominant buttery or soft yellow with a maroon or plum center/streaks. As it opens and matures, it transitions into a delightful peach/salmon pink with a defined plum-colored edge or reverse.
Form: Primarily classified as an Informal Decorative (ID) or sometimes as a Ball dahlia. The ray florets are often slightly curled, twisted, and tapered, creating a full and striking shape
Bloom Size: Small to Medium (BB/M). Blooms typically measure 4 to 5 inches (10–12 cm) in diameter.
Height: Medium to Tall, reaching approximately 3 to 4 feet (90–120 cm) tall.
Performance: Blooms from June to November. Thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Known for its floriferous nature, strong stems, and eye-catching color.
