BQ Pumpkin - Cutting

Bloomquist Pumpkin was hybridized by Paul Bloomquist and was introduced in 2013.

Color: Dark Blend (DB). A classic autumn mix of colors, featuring burnt sienna or dark orange-red outer petals and a glowing golden-yellow center. The colors deepen as the season progresses (when days are shorter) and may fade to golden-yellow late in the season. 

Form: Stellar (ST). Features double flowers with ray florets that are deeply split for at least two-thirds of their length and roll back towards the stem, giving the bloom a distinctive, slightly "windblown" or relaxed look.

Bloom Size: Medium (B) or Stellar (ST). Most sources cite the bloom size as 6 to 8 inches (15–20 cm) or classify it by its stellar form.

Height: Medium-Tall. Grows to approximately 3.5 to 4 feet (105–120 cm) tall.

Performance: Prolific Early Bloomer. This variety is noted for starting to bloom earlier than many other dahlias and for producing a high volume of flowers throughout the season, making it a reliable garden and cut-flower favorite for fall.
