Araluen Leatrice is a classic Australian variety that has become a highly sought-after choice for wedding and market florists worldwide due to its beautiful, soft coloring and elegant form.

Characteristics:

Form: Formal Decorative (FD) / Miniature Decorative (MD) — The blooms are highly symmetrical, with neatly arranged, slightly rounded, and tightly overlapped petals, giving the flower a refined, dense appearance.

Colour: Pink (PK) / Pink Blend (PB) — The coloring is clean, delicate, and complex:

  • Main Hue: A beautiful, clear soft baby pink or pale rose.
  • Accents: A unique and beloved feature is the presence of tiny golden or apricot tips on the petals, particularly as the flower matures, which catches the light and adds a subtle luxury to the bloom.

Bloom Size: Small (BB) / Miniature (M) — Blooms are consistently sized between 3 and 4 inches (8–10 cm) in diameter, making them ideal for high-impact bouquet work without being overpowering.

Height: Medium to Tall, generally growing around 3 to 4 feet (90–120 cm). Some sources note it can reach up to 5 feet (150 cm) in optimal conditions.

Performance: A florist favorite and a winner of multiple awards. It is highly valued as a cut flower for its excellent, long stems, consistent production, and reliable form. It has a reported vase life of 8-10 days, making it an exceptional performer in professional arrangements.
